Perth Airport
Perth Airport is located 12 km outside the city centre and is surrounded by the suburbs of Redcliffe, Guilford and Newburn.
The airport, closer to Southeast Asia, Europe and Africa than any other Australian airport, has over 20 international airlines service it that have numerous flights to Perth every day. From 2008-09, Perth Airport had over 1 million international and just over 3 million domestic passengers come through its doors.
Established as Perth Airport in 1952, it ran as a domestic terminal for one year before it incorporated an international terminal. Now, Perth Airport has three terminals - The T1 International Terminal, T2 Domestic Terminal, T3 Domestic Terminal and several regional terminals.
You can access Perth's International Terminal from Horrie Miller Drive and the Domestic Terminals from Brearley Avenue, which are both off Tonkin Highway. There are also shuttle and public buses that frequently run to and from Perth Airport.
If you want a taxi at Perth Airport, ranks are located outside the T1 International Terminal, T2 and T3 Domestic Terminals, as well as at Perth Airport's regional terminals - Skippers Aviation and National Jet Systems, located on Valentine road.
Once you're in Perth Airport, take advantage of the wide range of shopping - especially duty free shopping that offers great prices on merchandise - and eateries.
Perth Airport also has family facilities to help ensure a pleasant stay. Parenting rooms, an outdoor children's playground and a smoke-free zone are some of Perth Airport's available facilities.
In line with Australia's environment conservation initiatives, Westralia Airports Corporation (WAC) implemented the Perth Airport Environment Strategy, 2004, to uphold environmental standards at Perth Airport.
